Model Context Protocol (MCP) Integration

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard created by Anthropic that allows Large Language Models (LLMs), AI IDEs (such as Cursor, Windsurf), and autonomous coding agents to securely access external tools, databases, and operational APIs.

HashEntry provides official Streamable-HTTP MCP servers allowing developers and privacy officers to automate cookie consent scans, configure consent banners, draft privacy policies, and inspect compliance stats directly using natural language within their AI workflows.

HashEntry exposes three dedicated MCP server endpoints tailored to different security and permission tiers:

EndpointAccess LevelAuthenticationCapabilities
https://system.hashentry.com/mcp/publicPublicNone (Anonymous)Run website CMP scans, check cookie library, view plans and knowledge base.
https://system.hashentry.com/mcp/tenantTenantBearer Token (he_mcp_...)Manage sites, trigger cookie audits, update banner design, edit and publish legal documents, view consent metrics.
https://system.hashentry.com/mcp/resellerResellerBearer Token (he_mcp_...)Manage multi-tenant client portfolios, commissions, balance, and reseller support tickets.

For Tenant and Reseller servers, requests must include a Personal Access Token (he_mcp_...).

  1. Log into your HashEntry App Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings → AI & MCP Tokens.
  3. Click Create New MCP Token, provide a descriptive name and expiration period.
  4. Copy the generated he_mcp_... key and store it securely.

Add the HashEntry MCP configuration to your workspace or global settings.

Create or update .cursor/mcp.json in your project root:

{
"mcpServers": {
"hashentry-public": {
"url": "https://system.hashentry.com/mcp/public"
},
"hashentry-tenant": {
"url": "https://system.hashentry.com/mcp/tenant",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer he_mcp_YOUR_TOKEN_HERE"
}
}
}
}

Open claude_desktop_config.json:

  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

Add the server definition:

{
"mcpServers": {
"hashentry": {
"url": "https://system.hashentry.com/mcp/tenant",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer he_mcp_YOUR_TOKEN_HERE"
}
}
}
}

“List all my registered websites on HashEntry and tell me their active consent acceptance rates.”

“Review our Cookie Policy document draft, add a section explaining Google Consent Mode v2, and save it as a new draft.”

“Update our banner design to use dark mode with modern rounded corners and floating position.”
